So you’ve recently bought your shiny new Hostgator plan, and received all the credentials via email. But how do you actually login to your account?
Most of Hostgator’s plans include a cPanel (the leading website management console). To login to your cPanel, just follow these simple instructions:
Remember the “domain name” which you used while signing up for Hostgator? Just make sure that the nameservers on the domain name are set to the Hostgator nameservers that are sent to you in the welcome email (something like ‘ns1897.hostgator.com’ and ‘ns1898.hostgator.com’). Maybe this will help. If you’ve purchased your domain name with Hostgator, then you can skip this step.
Once the nameservers are set, just add ‘/cpanel’ to your domain name and open the URL in your browser , something like this: yourdomainname.com/cpanel/

You may login to other areas on the Hostgator.com system like the Billing Area, Tickets Section Login, Affiliate Console.
If you don’t remember the password of any of these areas, just click the ‘forgot password’ link on respective pages and enter the email address that you used to signup for the Hostgator plan. You shall receive further instructions on that email address.
